Abundant Life
We will be a church that reflects the "abundant life" Christ spoke of - a life of joy, peace and freedom (John 10:10; II Corinthians 3:17). We are never to be a church of religious rituals, traditions and rules, but a place where real people are truly transformed by the goodness of Christ (II Corinthians 3:18). While still reaching our world for Christ, we are in constant fellowship with one another through authentic relationships, small groups and other church activities and events (Acts 2:46)

Infectious Love
It is our desire to be a church that truly reflects our community and its diversity of people. To be a place that is truly multi-cultural, where diversity is appreciated and embraced, while racism and segregation is discouraged. (Gal 3:28)
We also will be a place where sinners are embraced, accepted and lovingly shown God's desire to forgive and transform (Luke 15:1). We will be a church that holds firm our core beliefs, shows Christians liberty others, and love in all things (Titus 1:9; Romans 14:13)

Vibrant Growth
We will be a church that embraces truth no matter how unpopular it may be in our culture. The Bible will always be our final authority in all matters (II Timothy. 3:16). We will be a place where people grow and where those who are hurting, confused and broken find help, healing and celebrate recovery (Luke 5:31-32)
We will be a church that urges people on to be true Bible students - to grow from the "milk" of the Word and be a church that nurtures people from spiritual immaturity to teaching others (Hebrews 5:12-14)

Evangelism
We will have a presence in our community as a church of authentic Christianity, not mere empty religion (Matthew 23:23-26). We will always remain evangelical in our approach- never abandoning the basic message of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ (I Corinthians 15:1-4). We will be a church that ministers to the whole needs of people- marriage, family, work, hurts and hang-ups, etc.
We will be a church where missions outreach is vital (Matthew 28:19-20). We will always be open to new and innovative ideas of reaching more for Christ (Ecc. 10:10; I Cor. 9:19-22). We will be a church where each person makes it their personal mission to bring others into the kingdom of God and build them to maturity (Mark 5:19).

Services
God has called all Christians to be serving Christians. Therefore,
idea of IBC’s membership involved in ministry is not only encouraged, but expected (James 2:17). We are not just in ministry on Sundays,
we are to be ministers in the truest sense throughout the week.
We will promote and even expect the membership at IBC to serve Lord and his church in one form or another. This service is not just singers, teachers, and ushers, but for all believers as we recognize diversity of gifts within the body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:27-30).
